Kesler & Company Presents Come To The Cabaret

My main girl and I haven't set foot at the Pacific beach Hotel Grand Ballroom for a mighty long time. Most of the time our happy feet are burning the ballroom floor at the Palladium. If you're on Mr. Doug Kesler's mailing list, it's fo'sure you'll get a flyer from him whenever he and company presents a showcase which is about twice a year. He has a "HULA-WEEN" showcase coming on Friday, October 28, 2016. If you want to be on Doug's mailing list, just give him a jingle at (808) 436-3435. My main girl and I have been going to Kesler & Company showcases, with dinner and dancing the past three years and have enjoyed everyone of them.

But for now, we're at the Pacific Beach Hotel for Kesler & Company presents "Come To The Cabaret" and of course for dinner, and general dancing from 6 PM till midnight. Lani and I got to the Grand Ballroom way before 6 PM. We checked in at the Reception Table which was (wo)manned by two lovelies who came from mainland USA especially for this event.

General Dancing went on from 6 PM to 8 PM before ACT ONE of the showcase, and for 15 minutes between each ACT, and until midnight. The music players were from Star Pointe Disco aka Star Pointe Productions. I gotta say that they have the best selection of Latin and smooth dance music for partner dancing and awesome sound equipment that carries every great rhythm and beat throughout the whole ballroom..

Every Showcase has got to have an EmCee that can hold the audience attention with enthusiasm and keep the program moving along smoothly and with a touch of humor. This fine lady who has been on the dance circuit for many years sure fit the EmCee position.

The Grand Ballroom was beautifully decorated with large colorful balloons and a gateway sign "Cabaret". Terrific job by the Decor Committee.

It was Robert's birthday. So all the exhibition dancers gathered around him as he was presented with a birthday cake.

"Curtain Call" for awards to all Showcase Performers

It was a very FUN & DANCE night for my main girl and me. The buffet dinner and dessert was ono ono, the non-stop music by Star Pointe Productions that kept more dancers on the dance floor was awesome, and the Dance Exhibition Showcase Dancers put on a good and entertaining performance that brought a whole bunch of applause. Kudos to Kesler & Company, to Mr. Joe Shorba of Koko Head Dance, and to special guest performers Dr. Michael and Trudy Uechi! Hasta la vista for now.
