Got to the Ala Wai Palladium a little after 7 o'clock PM. My sweety and I were invited as guests of Ed and Matilda Felix. The Diamond Head side of the ballroom was jumping with a lot of dancers to the sweet music of Dee Jay Ed Felix. Checked in at the Reception Table with the three lovelies (Louise, Matilda, and Mitzi). Those sharp eye gals noticed that my Lani wasn't with me and Matilda inquired." Yeah! I'm flying solo tonight".
The Program started a little before 8 o'clock The EmCee Roxanne Kaino took to the podium and introduced Pan Pacific President Gene Inoshita who gave a welcome message.
Social dancing continued till the Dance Showcase started about 8:15 o'clock Roxanne was back at the podium to introduce each of the performers in the showcase. Did a good job, too. And so did Ed playing the music.
First to perform were students of Jacky Lei dancing the Cha Cha/Jive Medley.
Followed by performances by Haleen & Atlas dancing the International Tango, Charlotte & Ed dancing the International Cha Cha, and Jacky & Spring dancing the Quickstep/Viennese Waltz Medley.
